Abstract
This study aims at identifying the agricultural extension agent (A.E.A) point of views regarding determining the role of the central administration of agricultural extension towardsthe management of the red palm weevil crisis during its three stage, before, during and after its finishing, beside determining the performance level of the respondents for the activities of this crisis with its all stages. Data were collected by using a questionnaire through personal interview for 120 respondents of the (A.E.A) of Esmailia governorate. Percentages and frequencies were used in data analysis. The study results were as follows: - More than three quarters of the respondents agreed on three activities from 12 ones before crisis. While they agreed on 13 activities from 16 ones during this crisis and three only from 6 activities after it. - Regarding the performance Level of respondents for the crisis activities, the results showed :  Before the crisis, about 36.7% of respondents mentioned that they provide the farmers with knowledge about the dangers and loses of this weevil, while their rest activities were less than that. The respondents activities during the crisis were law level as more than half number of them mentioned that they perform two activities only before 16 ones which were training the farmers on the correct taking off the infected palm. For the respondents activities after the crisis, about 39.7% of them mentioned that they perform one activity only from 6 ones which was review of the roles that has to face the crisis palm weevil to know the shortcomings and success.
