THE ROLE OF FARMING SYNDICATES IN SUPPORTING FARMERS' CAPABILITIES OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT PARTICIPATION IN BENI – SUEF GOVERNORATE

Abstract
The main objectives of the research were to determine the participants knowledge concerning role of farming syndicates in supporting their capabilities in rural development in Beni – suef Governorate , to identify farming syndicates role , to identify the social participants views in different activities carried out by the syndicates in supporting their capabilities and to identify different obstacles that encounter the farming syndicates ,based upon their views in supporting their participation in rural development . The research was conducted in Beni – suef Governorate which was selected randomly as it contains three farming syndicates (the Egyptian farmers syndicate , farmers syndicate for small farmers , and farmers union syndicate) .The syndicate for small farmers was randomly drawn 4000 members . A systematic random sample of the syndicate members of 200 members was drawn from the syndicate total population . A questionnaire through personal interview was used in collecting the research data during April,2013. frequency rang and percentages were used in presenting results . The main research findings came as the following : 1- 51.5% of the respondents were in the high category of knowledge regarding role of syndicate in supporting their capabilities concerning their participation in rural development . 2- The respondents had a high knowledge level regarding the role of the syndicate related to solving their socio economic and professional problems (up to 97.5%). 3- The research findings revealed some obstacles that facing the farming syndicate: ignoring farmers' opinions regarding agric laws , insufficient of financial resources , The community political unstability , weak cooperation with governmental executive agencies , and law level of farmers awareness concerning important of the syndicate .
