Abstract
Cooperatives are considered one of the most important methods which the country can use them to provide services to the farmers. Cooperatives are also tools for achieving the socio economic goals. After the economic liberalization policy had been applied, Agricultural Reform Cooperatives must compete with private sector in providing either inputs or in marketing. The objective of the study is to evaluate perfomace efficiency of the Agricultural Reform Cooperatives in the A.R.E. Beheira governrate has been chosen, The Surplus in cooperatives has been increased from L.E 2.7 million in 2010 to L.E 2.74 million in 2011 by percentage about 1.2%, there is positive relationship between the total area and the membership, the correlations coefficient reached to about 0.86 significantly. To evaluate The Total demand for: Calculating the percentag of the total liabilities to total dues to members of the cooperative society in Edfena showed that they reached (5.09,4.06,3.83,3.76,3.4,2.98,2.37,2.14,1.55,1.49,1). Best cooperative socities in terms of the ratio of total liabilities to total assets were Edco, Algadia, and Bosealy with percentages of (0.96,0.8, 0.79) , about 0.86 significantly. The study ended to some recommendations such as, Cooperatives must provide fertilizers in low prices, they must lend farmers with small rate of interest, increasing cooperative"s quota of fertilizers, Rationalizing using of fertilizers that may contribute in developing both the agriculture and the cooperatives.
