Abstract

Some laboratory trials were conducted to increase the bait acceptance of zinc phoshide against black rat, Rattus rattus, using LibraxR drug (chlordiazepoxid 5mg + clidinium bromide 2.5mg) as antistomachec. LibraxR 0.001% was tested alone and combined with different concentrations of zinc phosphide bait using non and free choice feeding methods. Results showed that in both methods, LibraxR alone and mixed with zinc phosphid bait significantly increased the average daily consumption and the acceptability of rats. Also it enhanced the percent of mortality comparing with zinc hosphide bait lone.
