RURAL WOMEN ROLE FOR DECREASING THE LOSSES OF WHEAT CROP AT TWO VILLAGES IN ABOHOMOS DISTRICT IN BEHEIRA GOVERNORATE

Abstract

The objectives of the study were : 1) Determining the reasons of wheat crop loss during the harvest and storage stages. 2) Identifying the rural women knowledge regarding some items of harvest and storage processes . 3) Identifying the rural women implementation of practices during storage stages of wheat crop . 4) Determining the relationship between the implementation practices level of rural women during storage stages of wheat and infection of storage insects and rodents . 5 ) Determining relationship between implementation practices level of rural women during the storage stage as a dependent variable and some socio-economic characteristies . of respondents 6) Determining the Extension needs of the investigated rural women to develop their knowledge and practices regarding harvest and storage of wheat crop . Data were collected from (171) investigated women in two villages which were Aboyosef and Berkt Katas Abohomes district Beheira Governorate, by using a questionnaire through personal interview. Correlation coefficient of (Sperman) was used for data analysis.
