Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the level of the effectiveness’ of community development associations, and identifying correlates and determinants of the effectiveness’ of community development associations in rural Kafr El-Sheikh and Al-gharbieah governorates . To realize those objectives , data were collected from a random sample of (147) of community development association in rural Kafr El-Sheikh and Al-Gharbieah governorates . Percentages , correlation , regression analysis and path analysis techniques were used for data presentation and analysis . The results of the study showed that : - * The majority of community development associations (72.4%) characterize low level of effectiveness’. * The independent variables of the study explain about (29.7%) of the total variance of the effectiveness’ of community development associations. partial regression coefficients show that three variables make significant unique contributions to the regression equation. They are work place conditions ,amount of substantial (material) resources and the degree of suffering from problems. * Path analysis technique shows that two of the exogenous variables (work place conditions ,amount of substantial (material) resources) have a direct effect on the effectiveness’, and eight others have indirectly effects through intervening variables. the degree of suffering from problems has a direct effect on the effectiveness’, that is in endogenous variables. While innovative activities and programs, the inner communication have no effect at all. But three others have indirectly effects on the effectiveness’ .
