Abstract
This study was earned out at EI-Gua Apex- Res. Station &MN four seasons from 2005/2006 to 2008/2000 to evairJate the effect of eight methods of selection Indices on grain yield Per Pate , number of spaces per plane, number of kernels per spike and 100-kernel weight of three tread wheat crosses. Selection indices were 1. Sulk method as a control, 2. Number of spikes pa plant 3. Number of kernels pa spike -5.12-, 4- 100-kernel weight , S. Number of spikes per plant and number of kernels per spike withhoelng 100 kernel weight , 6-Number of spikes per plant and 100-kernel weight withholding number of kernels per spike , 7- Number of kernels per spike and 100•komol weight withholding number of spikes per pant 8- Number of spaces per plant, number of kernels per spike and 100-kernel weight 'Sim. Men three eyries of selection as F2,F3 and F4, six genotypes from each selecbon indices were selected from each cost A IAN renter of 42 selected genotypes mulling horn sewn selection indices and six bilk populations were evaluated for grain yield and yield comperents. Sngle 0015010 of variance demonstrated significant differences between selection indices in at crosses. Genotypes ggnificandy Offered for al dwracters except sksither of spikes pa plant, 100 kernel weight and kernel weight per spite in cross No. I. The interachon between genotypes x 'maces had signficantly effected as characters accept 100-kernel weight in cross No.1 and 2 . Maras of variance of telethon indices crosses and genotypes or lees "G" showed significant dIfferenceS exact grain gold Da pant. The interactions between (C x M) , (C x G) , (M G) and (M C kG) had significant effect Resues also, showed that the test selection lmboes for number of spikes per plant was 5.1,,., , for number of kernels per spike was for 100 kernel weight SI, ,Yes kernel weight space 5.1,, and for grain yield per plant were SI and 5.1, Resters also showed that the three crosses significantly differed in chasaas taxa( grain OM per Pant • Onto N0-3 had the highest number of spikes per pant , core No.2 had the filched number 01 kernels per spike, and aces flo.1 had the highest 100 kernel weight , kernels spike weight and grain yield per plant .
