Abstract
Survey of predacious mites and spiders associated with different grapevine pests were carded out in two different regions of Fayoum Governorate, Egypt In two seasons (from April to September 2007 and 2008) to determine prospective species for the control of the pest. The obtained data indKated the presence of six predatory mite species on leaves, four of them were belonging to suborder Prostigmata and two species only belonging to suborder Mesostigmatt. The most abundance of the mites spades were, Monematus ubiquitous (Tydeidae) and Fusels sakes (Phytoseiclae). The period of June-August was the most favorable for abundance of the collected mites. The collected spiders associated with pest infesting grapevine leaves, were 14 species belonging to 13 families. The dominant spiders were recorded Engem dentipaipos (Unyphiidae), Tetregnathils alms (Tetrgnathidae), %adopts paykuS (Saltiddae), Thomism; spinier (Thomisidae), Meridian aegyptiacom (Theridildae) and Thanatos albini (Phiodromidae). While, nine predacious mites inhabiting grapevine soil under 6 families namely, Cunaxidae, Camerobiidae, Bdelidae, Tydeidae, Sbgarneidae and Cheyleidae. The most common species were ammo mpreakis(Berlese) (artaxidae) and Cheyferus etuditts (Sduank) (Cheyietidae). On the other hand, the rnescisbgrriatid mites inhabiting grapevine soil were, Androlaelaps cams (leriese) (Laelapidae), Bakiscoks tersalis (Berlese) (Ascidae), Uraboyika krantziZaher and ABA (Uropodidae) and Paraskus consanguinus Oudemans and Voigits (Parasiticiae). However, A. Viand a krantzi were the most abundant mites. Considering the spider. inhabiting soil of grapevine plants, it was noticed that the presence of three ncrirldentdied species, licgna sp. (Lycosidae), Oeoabius sp. (Oecotiidae) and Zelotes (Gnaphosidae). All collected spiders were recorded in the period (May-August).
