Abstract
This study aimed at analyzing the agricultural extension dealing with the relative importance of the areas of research and the main sub-areas and the research methods applied, and the substantial areas that need to be studied, as well as indicative of statistical methods to be used in the proposal to suggest this research topic. This study was conducted on the researches issued during 2001 to 2008 which reached (412) to be analyzed. The work started in fist of November 2008 up to April 2009. Data presented by using frequenters ages. . Results indicated that: 1. The low frequency and percent ages relatively in planning and evaluation of the training of extension personnel compared to extension organization and mama general capacities for extension personnel researches. 2. Great decline of resounded about the following: motional companies, participation of fanners in the extension activities, educational effects of the extension programs and adoption of farmers for the agricultural innovations, are compared to the rest of research areas in extension programs. 3. Great decrease of information technology and commutation in extension work compared to the rest of methods and the instructional aids researches area. 4. Researches related to rural women were rather limited relatively compared to the other areas, specially the researches dealing with the income generation activities and rural home economics. 5. Increases in the total numbers of researches achieved year after year in the study period 2001 -2008. 6. Decrease in the number of researches done by individual researcher to ensure orientation towards team work. 7. High concentration of researches are conducted in the delta governorates and rarely conducted in Upper Egypt and the newly reclaimed lands. 8. Very limited number of researches done in the area of female extension and rural youth. 9. The vast majority of researches depend on samples, rarely used in the experimental methodology or in case of the questionnaire with personal intervues was common technicians for data collection. There was lake in using group interviews or observations. There were common uses parametric and nonparametric statistics. The main statistical tools was the central tendency, simple correlation coefficients and chi square. 10. There were extensive references to the field crops, horticulture, animal husbandry but very limited dealing with human nutrition, plant diseases and agricultural machinery.
