Abstract
The main ifitrecthes of the study were to: determine the practices followed by the farmers in the peodudioo and marketing of fababean, determine the causes of the reluctance of some fababean farmers and their suggotrtions to encourage the expansion of the cultivatron of this crop in the future. The data were collected . from fifteen villages of five Governorates are: Besentwai village, Abu Minos datrict, Kafr Leherner vlage, Delengat district, and Depono Wage, Edko dish nct (Bellaire Governorate), Riadi veage, Sberbeen district. Ballet EL-Shorbagy village, Woes district, and Met Taref Met Awed district (Dakatia Governorate), EL-Mandera village, EL‌Fayom ?strict, Senro village, Abstrorai distract, and Defno village, Atsa district (EL-Fayom Governorate), Sande ineage, of Qom Mazer district, Karr EL-Salheen village, Maghagha district, and Bani Ahmed Village, Minya district (Minya governorate), EL-Tafteesh village, EL-Quosia district, Beni Odiat village, Mafaiout district, and Bamor village, Abu Tong district( Asiut Governorate). by using the method of focus group discussion interview by one set of each of the Wages mentioned above, at the end of venter season 2006. The most important findings could be summarized as follows: -The most important reasons of cultivating fababean reluctance as follows: low ow productive and low sale price per ton of fababean. The study recommends quiddy solutions that will help to get rid of these reasons. - The most important farmers suggestions to Stop reasons of cultivation reluctance of fababean as follows: finding productive varerteis, provision of early vareiteis, condesadon the ertension symposiums to fababean farmers, the continuation of the extension potentials to national carriers of fababean, training the agricultural extension workers in the area of new tedirology of fababean, provision of water-irrigation, determine the fababean price Crop, Increase the demonstration to fababean farmers, provrtfiro of cooperative marketing, and the reduction of import l'allehean. The study reotrnmends taking these recommendations into oonsideration to encourage farmers to increase the cultivated area of fababean clop.
