Abstract
During 2004-2005 season, three that were cameo eta at three locations of 8a8 ti-Saleith region to integrate several Control techniques and apply suttabk cultural prectces in an Integrated control program for suppressing insect pests attadung sugar beet plants. Producing healthy, strong and insect tolerant plants is of ectreme importance in working out a satisfactory pest management program which takes into account all astatle practices crop rotation, good preparation of land, piano in suitable time, accurate Plating spaces, compensation plant losses by transolanting Parr-sets and adequate doses of NPK ferbizers. Mending these practk:es gave a complete stand (36666.6 Plants/fed.) and resulted in optimum nerd (35.156 tons/feckLan) compared with 26033.3 gals that resulted an average of 28.63 tom/feddan in the tanners, fields. On the other hand, for conbteng sugar beet insects, several tactics were yoked thrOughout the grtwrina meson: using Insect-tolerant sugar beet variety, treating seeds with systemic awe:bode (Gaucho), removing weeds, planting insect repellent Plants (Or.241 and gark) on the field borders and tikes, releasing the eggparaptord, Trirbcgranns cwanse7os to control the two nb eters, artfinta nutrias Itub. and Sorobvarpa cceltatelb Boyd., spraying the biocide, Opel Zx two months before harvest and the aqueous extral of coriander pre one month before harvest to control high populations of insects without adverse effects on natural tones, residues In roots and topS and tonoty upon man and animals. hisocation of the previous control methods greatly reduced the average number of insects which attack sugar beet plants 'Moe the insect reduction rates averaged 56.8-72.7% of the control insect populations average tiro ghoul investigation months. Throughout the growing season examinatios, the general rate of insect reductions ranged between 60.2-70.0% than that of each insect populations in the control areas. Mending agro practices and control measures reduced insect Mutations, below the the economic injury level and increased held potentials. The area (one feddan) received integrated pest management (IPM) gained pure wait of 1601.93 LE. over the farmers, fields.
