Abstract
The main objectives of this study were: -To determine the Agricultural Information Sources for Wheat Crop Specialists (WCS) in Egypt and their relative importance. -To determine the relationships between degrees. of using Agricultural Information Sources of (WCS) and some to independent variables, -To identify the constraints facing (WCS) to obtain agricultural information from different sources. The study was conducted in three governorates of A.R.E. These governorates were El Sharkia, El Menia and Qina. Data were collected form 80 wheat specialists by personal interviews in May and June 2006 using a pre-tested questionnaire for achieving the purposes of the study. Percentages, Range, Frequencies, Arithmetic mean, Standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used for data presentation and analysis. The most important results of the study could be summarized as follows: Extension Pamphlets were the most important of information sources for (WCS) as a written source, while the traders of inputs were using nearly as a verbal source. Relationship were found between the total degrees of use three types of Agricultural Information Sources of (WCS) and number of training courses about wheat - Shortage of T.V. programs were the most important constraints facing (WCS) for using sources of information, lack of handouts were delivered to trainees, unavailability of computers was the most important constraint facing (WCS) in using of Electronic sources.
