Abstract
To achieve the research objectives, concerning male and female attitude of holders and non-holders of small scale enterprises in Menia governorate, research was conducted in the following villages: Tala, Saft Khemar, Al-Bergayia, Damsher and Hehia in Menia district (markaz), Samalout, Kabusina, Al-Tawfekiah, Al-Beho and Bani Ghani in Samalout district (markaz). Two samples were selected; first a random sample with a percentage no less than 5% of total male and female, holders of small scale enterprises from records of village banks in each village, with a total of 300 holders (M/F). The second sample was randomly chosen from rural people neighbors of previous holders with total of 300 non holders (M/F). Data were collected using personal interview questionnaire after a pre-test to insure the questionnaire reliability in achieving the research objectives, and were collected during August and September 2003. The results revealed the following: A significant variance at 0.05 was found among interviewees' attitude degrees - holders of such enterprises - towards these enterprises for male and female. A significant variance at 0.01 was found among interviewees' attitude degrees - "non - holders" of such enterprises - towards these enterprises for male and female.
