ACTUALITY OF VILLAGE AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION WORKER'S JOB

Abstract

The main obkective of this research was to identify was to identify actuality of village agricultural extension worker's job. It included: perception of village agricultural extension worker re­garding importance of responsibilities, authorities, eligibility, cri­teria indicators related to performance measuring, the tasks re­lated to the jobe and extent of implementing item of the actual job. A systematic random sample of 165 village agricultural ex­tension workers was drawer from the population, working in four Egyptian governorates that were selected randomly (Gharbia and Kafr el-Sheikh governorates from the Delta; Sohage and El-Menia governorates from Upper Egypt. The selected sample represented about 15% of the total number of village agricultural exension workers in the four mentioned governorates. A pretested written questionnaire and personal interviews were used in collecting the study data. Percentage, weighted arithmetic mean, Z. lest, pear-son's correlation coefficient, and Kendall's coefficient of con­cordance were used In analyzing the study data.
