Abstract
The main objective of this research was to: Identify determinants for presenting the Paid Agricultural Exten‌sion Service under the Egyptian circumstances. Data wero collected from a sample amounted to 100 employees 69 % approximately of the total number of those who occupy the high levet administration in the agricul‌ture Departments in 20 Governorates in Egypt. They were divided into 5 groups. The Agricultural junior Secretaries, Extension general Managers, Epidemics fighting general managers and Orchards keeping general man-agers. In addition to extension general managers in the Central Adminis-tration for Agricultural extension. Data were collected by Personal interviews using a prepared ques-tionnaire. Simple and multiple correlation, Coefficient of determination Chi - square test and Fisher • test of significance were used to analyze data statistically in addition to means, frequencies and percentages. The main results of this research were: First: There were real concordances among the respondents to‌wards presenting the paid agricultural extension service by ministry of agriculture within its extension system as the first choice for the em‌ployees under the Egyptian circumstances. Second: Ten determinants from respondents point of view were mentioned with percentages ranged front 98% to 25%. The main deter-minants were as follows: Farmers payable ability (98%). efficient and de-veloping extension system (94%), identifying a valued for the paid ser‌vices (88%). Identifying a known places for presenting paid services (85%) , supervision of the agricultural research center upon the exten‌sional activities (77 %) . Third: Two dependent variables affected (21.5%). On the availa‌bility for presenting the Paid Services. They were: Farmers payable abili‌ties and efficiency of the agricultural extension agents. Based on the results of this research, the availability for present‌ing the paid agricultural extension service can bo implied to the benefici‌aries if they take part in the expense. The agricultural cooperatives are considered the best place for collecting extension service payments.
