EFFECT OF THE FUNGAL INSECTICIDE (B1OFLY) COMPARED WITH CHEMICAL INSECTICIDES IN CONTROLLING DIFFERENT STAGES OF WHITEFLY BEMISIA TABACI (GENN.) AND ITS RELATED VIRUS

Abstract
The efficiency of five sprays of fungal insecticide Biofly applied at two rates 100 and 50 m1/100m1 of water on the different stages of whitefly infesting tomato plants compared with five recommended insecticides; Selecron, Osbac, Admire, Actellic and Reldane was investigated at Etay El-Baroud Agric. Research Station, El-Behera Governorate, during July-September, 1995. The obtained results revealed that, the compound can be used successfully to reduce the three whitefly stages using 100 m1/100L of water without causing any hazard to the plants and natural enemies. Therefore, Biofly is considered useful for 1PM programs to reduce environmental pollution on mammals.
