Abstract

Effect of some IGR-insecticide ready-made mixtures namely; Tam‌aron combi, Delfos, Duradin, Merlin and Sumilin were evaluated against the cotton leafworm. The results clearly showed that all tested IGR-insecticide mixtures revealed high initial kill at 24h. and residual activity with the exception of sumilin which resulted in low initial kill but caused a high residual ef-fect. So the time elapsed from spraying proved important in determining the bio-residual behaviour of the tested chemical. In the field-laboratory experiments, all tested mixtures revealed over 90% mortality as intial kill at 24h on the 2nd and 4th instar larvae. While their residual activities on 2nd instar larvae could be arranged in descending order as follows; Merlin, Duradin, Delfos, Tamaron combi and sumilin, while on 4th instar larvae were Tamaron combi Merlin, Delfos, sumilin and Duradin.
