Examination of placentae, foeti and mammary glands of naturally Trichinella spiralis infected sows slaughtered at Cairo abattoir revealed larvae of Trichinella spiralis in mammary glands. Rat dams. were experimentally infected with Trichinella spiralis larvae during pregnancy, and on the same day of parturition. The uteri, placentae, foeti and the mammary glands were examined by different methods. Trichinella spiralis larvae were present in the mammary glands of rat-dams and suckled progenies which proved transmammary transmisiion.
