Abstract
A total of 372 blood samples , 372 genital discharges and 194 tissue specimens were collected from 372 non-vaccinated cows suffring from reporductive disorder :178 endometritis , 160 retained placenta , 34 abortion . The serum samples were examined serologically by R.B.T.,S.A.T., R.T. and ELISA . It was found that ,5.05% ,2.25%,3.37% and 4.49%;74.37% , 10.0%, 11.25% and55.88% , 35,29%, 52.94% and were positive in 178 with endometritis, 160 casses with retained placenta and 34 cases of abortion, respectinely. On the other hand , bacteriological examination revealed 11 Brucella isolates which were rapidly identified by dot ELISA and were biotyped by conventional biochemical and serological tests as Br.abortus biovar-1.
