FACTORS AFFECTING SEVERITY OF BOTRYODIPLODIA THEOBROMAE ON DATE PALM OFF-SHOOT AND ITS CONTROL

Abstract
Zaghlol variety of date palm was the most susceptible to Botryodiplodia theobromae, The optimum temperature for infection with the fungus ranged between 30 and 350C at 50% relative humidity. Propiconazole was the best fungicide to inhibit the linear growth of the pathogen and to eliminate new infections in the field.
